Screening can sometimes increase the early detection of cancer

:: Physical Activity ::

There is growing evidence that physical activity may have a protective effect, helping people avoid cancer and other health problems.

Physical activity can reduce the risk of colon and rectum (bowel), uterus and breast cancer.

  • Be physically active regularly – 30 minutes of moderate exercise on most if not all days of the week (eg, walking, cycling, climbing stairs, jogging, swimming, etc).
  • Maintain a healthy body weight – balance the amount you eat with the amount of energy you use.
