Support Groups
Support groups provide the opportunity for people to discuss (in small groups) experiences and concerns with others who have cancer. All groups are ongoing unless otherwise stated.

Breast Cancer
'SPIRITED WOMEN'
1st Wednesday of each month, 12-2pm, Cancer Society Rooms, Newtown
Bring a plate to share. This group welcomes all those who are coping with a breast cancer diagnosis. Come along to meet others and share experiences in this very friendly, facilitated group.

Hutt Valley Breast Friends
1st Tuesday Evening of the Month, 7-9pm, in Lower Hutt.
A Breast Cancer Network Group. This lively group has been developed to support women with primary breast cancer living in the Hutt Valley and coping with recovery.

BC SURVIVORS Ð KAPITI
1st Monday Evening of the month, 7pm, venue notified on contact.
An independent self-help group organised by group members for any women who have or had breast cancer. All warmly welcomed.

CANSURVIVE WELLINGTON
3rd Thursday of each month, 12 noon-2 pm, at Cancer Society Rooms (BYO lunch)
This group is for people with any type of cancer or support people in the Wellington area. It is a facilitated support and discussion group with a wide range of topics discussed.

2nd Wednesday of each month, 5.30 - 7.30pm at Cancer Society Rooms
This is a lively group for young adults in their 20's & 30's. They welcome anyone diagnosed with cancer who wants support, education and friendship with other young people.

KAPITI - CANSURVIVE GROUP
4th Tuesday of each month, 6.30 - 8.30pm, Kapiti Rotary Room, Community Centre, Paraparaumu.
This is a new network group based in Paraparaumu for people with any type of cancer. Meetings are supportive and informative.

PORIRUA CANCER SUPPORT GROUP
1st Friday of each month 10am-12 noon, 20 Ngatitoa St, Elsdon, Porirua
This is a group for all people affected by cancer, including families, caregivers and support people in the Porirua area. Friendly discussions, speakers & always a delicious lunch provided.

UPPER HUTT EVENING SUPPORT GROUP
2nd Wednesday of the month in Upper Hutt, 7.30 - 9.00pm
This is a group of people from all walks of life who are recovering from different types of cancer. They meet once a month for a chat, laughs and some interesting discussion and really want to emphasise the warmth and support that this group has. Anyone who has experienced cancer or who is supporting someone with cancer is most welcome to come along.

Prostate Cancer
PALS - Prostate Awareness is a Life-Saver
4th Tuesday of the month, 7.30 - 9pm, Cancer Society Rooms
This is a facilitated group for men coping with prostate cancer. Interesting discussions and speakers most evenings.
Please note the meeting is on 4th Tuesday and not necessarily the last Tuesday of the month.
